Become a RefWe're looking for officials for the 2009 season.

Are you up for the challenge?

1Contact Us. We would like to hear from you.  Go to our CONTACT US page and drop us a line. Be sure to include your contact information so that we can add you to our database and can keep you updated with any news related to the season.

2Register as an official with CHSAA. Because lacrosse is a state sanctioned sport, officials need to be certified by CHSAA.  Fill out their form and mail it in with your check for $60. If you are already registered with CHSAA as a referee in another sport, you need to add lacrosse to your registration and pay an additional fee.

Registration with CHSAA is essential.  Once you're registered, CHSAA will provide you with a login name and password to access Arbiter, our assigning software.  Once you have your ID and password you need to update your contact information and availability within Arbiter.

3Attend the training sessions. The RMLOA conducts its own training sessions for high school officials. For the most part, these meetings are led by veteran high school and collegiate officials. The training covers rules, positioning and game situations.  The training schedule for the 2008 season.

4You must pass the rules test.

Once you have registered with CHSAA, you must log-in to our assigning program to a) update your contact information and b) set your availability. The draw for high school assignments is on February 9th, 2010.
